A Cybersecurity Specialist will routinely

  • Attend to the daily requirements of managing an enterprise-wide implementation of a Trelix ePO server and endpoint components.
  • Reports to stakeholders on Outdated Products Reports, Rogue Lists, Subnet Coverage Lists, and any other required reports.
  • Gather and compile data for the Operations Order Report to determine the Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) compliance score.
  • Maintain the cybersecurity posture of the ESS components.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) to mitigate security risks.
  • Attend customer-facing Cybersecurity meetings.
  • Create and maintain ATO and RMF documentation as needed.
  • Mentor junior members of the cybersecurity team on ESS-related tasks.
  • Attend training sessions on new security tools to stay updated in the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
On any given day, our team also responds to security incidents, researches and analyzes emerging threats, and conducts security testing and technical troubleshooting as issues arise within the customer environment. The specific tasks and projects will vary depending on the team, security focus area, and current company priorities.
 
What we are expecting from you (i.e., the qualifications you must have):

  • A Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of experience in Endpoint Security operations, preferably within a DoD environment.
  • Hands-on experience Installing, configuring, and managing Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) server.
  • Provide enterprise-wide support for host-based security systems (Trellix) on all workstations and servers.
  • Assist with the transition from Trellix to Windows Defender.
  • An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 3 certification defined by the DoD 8570 directive.
  • Experience creating and updating security documentation and writing Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Experience with DoD system hardening and cyber monitoring tools. (ACAS, EvalSTIG, STIGViewer, Splunk)
  • Experience supporting Authority to Operate (ATO), self-assessment, and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) processes.
  • Experience with the RMF process and documentation.
  • Familiarity with log analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems is a plus.
  • Microsoft SQL Server administration experience is a plus.
  • Experience with the FedRAMP process and documentation is a plus.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting applications and IT systems is a plus.
  • Experience with Active Directory is a plus.
  • Experience with eMass is a plus

Required Level of Security Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen and reside in the State of Hawaii for consideration.
